ICD Corporation worked with the Central Bank of Egypt in the development of the strategy, policies and procedures for the supervision and oversight of Retail Payment Systems in Egypt. This included an assessment of existing retail payment systems including a risk profile and analysis of existing payments providers in the market with the identification of gaps in payment services. An analysis of the existing market involved the survey and interviews with commercial banks in Egypt. The project also included the establishment of new laws, decrees and regulations necessary to define the role of the Central Bank in retail payment systems. ICD Corporation also had responsibility for the development of oversight policies, practices and procedures, standards of governance, rules and regulations for retail payment systems.
