ICD Corporation worked with the Central Bank of Egypt in the development of the strategy, policies and procedures for the supervision and oversight of Retail Payment Systems in Egypt. This included an assessment of existing retail payment systems including a risk profile and analysis of existing payments providers in the market with the identification of gaps in payment services. An analysis of the existing market involved the survey and interviews with commercial banks in Egypt. The project also included the establishment of new laws, decrees and regulations necessary to define the role of the Central Bank in retail payment systems. ICD Corporation also had responsibility for the development of oversight policies, practices and procedures, standards of governance, rules and regulations for retail payment systems.

ICD Corporation performed an assessment of the existing payment systems based on compliance with the BIS “Core Principles for Systemically Important Payment Systems”. In addition, assessments and recommendations were made regarding institutional arrangements, legal foundations for the BOM’s role in oversight of payment systems, rules and regulations for participation in payments activities and development of technical specifications for the Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system procurement. ICD Corporation then facilitated the procurement process including recommendations on bid criteria, and oversaw the scoring and evaluation process.

ICD Corporationcompleted a project working for ING Advisory Services to develop a methodology and train BIDV bank staff on consumer banking product development. This project covered all aspects of product development including marketing research, organization strategy, product development methodology and product evaluation process and assessment of existing products. The main deliverables for this project were: the inventory and analysis of BIDV’s existing range of products; development of a template for product development planning; training in the product and service development process; development of a handbook for product management; administration of workshops and training on product management; definition of requirements for the improvement of existing products and services and development of a new product and services development strategy to 2010 for BIDV.

Performed a Definitional Mission on behalf of United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) for an initial ICT needs assessment and recommendation on provision of funding for a feasibility study for the State Capital Investment Corporation in Viet Nam. The SCIC is a government organization responsible for the management and investment in Sate Owned Enterprises (SOE) in Viet Nam. The mission included both short and long term assessments of ICT needs, prospects for funding, feasibility study including Terms of Reference (TOR) and related information in support of the USTDA decisioning process.
